Case Study
COUNTRY Financial is an insurance and financial services company based in Bloomington, Illinois. They receive top ranks (A+) in the insurance category and are known for the value they place on personal relationships.
Since 2016 Flowershop has provided production and creative support to COUNTRY’s marketing team and their partner creative agencies including The Media Kitchen, Walton Isaacson and Ogilvy & Mather.
As COUNTRY’s marketing channels shifted, the use of stock photography was becoming expensive and disconnected from their customer. With this problem in mind, Flowershop embedded at COUNTRY’s to get a sense of brand ethos and spend time with customers to understand their mindset.
The result was the creation of an ever-growing photographic library that documents customer stories and COUNTRY’s deep heritage in the agricultural community.

Case Study
Our storytelling in the agricultural community took us across the US to meet farmers and learn about what they grow. We built on the initial project brief by making friends with farmers who welcomed us into their world and put us in a position to create an authentic portrait of American farm life.
Brenda Kirsch Freketich (pictured) became a fast friend. She took over the family farm from her dad after graduating from USC business school. Since then she has diversified the number of crops from three to thirteen, grown their business and raised her own family on the farm she grew up on.

In 2018 Flowershop kicked off a companion video library of documentary short videos that bring the relationships between COUNTRY customers and their sales representatives to life. Both the photo and video libraries are available to in-house marketing teams, partner agencies and COUNTRY insurance agents to help communicate product offerings in an engaging and authentic way.
